The majority of Cybicom Atlas Defence Technicians are certified with the Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC). Training courses attended at the IPC includes safety, tools and electrostatic discharge, wire and terminal assembly requirements, through hole technology requirements, surface mount technology requirements, general soldered connection acceptance requirements (including Lead Free), test methods and related standards and the use of statistical process control methodologies. All training includes demonstrations and laboratory work.
Cybicom Atlas Defence is registered with AMD (the Aerospace, Maritime and Defence Industries Association of South Africa). AMD’s primary objectives are the representation of the industry in matters of mutual interest, and the promotion of a profitable, sustainable and responsible industry. The association is acknowledged as the only trade association of South Africa’s defence industry (SADI), and is mandated by its members to promote and champion the collective interests of the industry. It comprises a cluster of leading South African Defence companies for both the private and public sectors involved in the supply of defence materials, products and services.
